Even small area damages of hyaline cartilage surface are considered by traumatologists as serious damages which lead to development of osteoarthritis. The growth of operational activity that consists in carrying more than 300 000 endoprosthesis of large joints in Russia for a year causes social and economic significance of search a new treatment of patients having defeats of hyaline cartilage surface[1]. In recent years, autoplasma enriched with platelets is used widely in different branches of surgery. At the same time, studies of chondroprotective and structurally modifying influence on joint cartilage are non-innumerable and contradictory. The use of plasma in combination with other plastic materials in chondroplasty of post-traumatic defect is poorly studied[2]. Thus, the purpose of the study is application of Raman spectroscopy for estimate chondroplasty quality in experiments with rabbits. As study materials were used samples of distal epiphysis of the «Chinchilla» rabbits femur. The animals had a plasty after creating of two full-layer bone-cartilage defects of articular surface in the femoral condyle. It was made in two ways – enrichment by platelet plasma and combination with demineralized bone tissue. Raman spectra of the newly formed regenerates were studied after two weeks and one month from the date of surgery. The samples were researched in plastic zone, border and intact zones of the articular surface using the stand implementing the method of Raman spectroscopy. The obtained spectra were processed in Wolfram Mathematica[3] software. For separation of overlapped peaks we used MagicPlotPro 2.5.1 software[4]. As a result of the research component analysis was extended using deconvolution. On surface of regenerates after plasty in different ways the relative content of glycosaminoglycans and amides is similar as composition of intact zone of hyaline cartilage, which indicates about a good regenerative potential of both plasty methods. Raman spectroscopy can be used for screening assessment of the cartilage surface quality after performing chondroplasty.
